The Bavarian Inn offers a unique kind of atmosphere. The guests are treated well, depending upon their importance in Washington DC. The owners tend to drool over doctors, The "peasants" are treated to a demoralizing and condescending experience. The food is average at best. The employees are treated like slaves. My advice is to dine at the Yellow Brick Bank in Shepherdstwon.

The inn is beautiful and the location is very picturesque,
however the food is not very good. We have been there 5 times and the food is consistently poor. On 3 occasions the
service was almost non-existant. We had to repeatedly ask for
drinks, rolls, coffee cream and one morning at breakfast we waited a half hour before we were waited on and then after 45 minutes of no food, we left.
